Judical Review Application
AUGUST 15, 2022: Two residents of the small, rural town of Kemptville filed a Notice of Application with the Divisional Court of Ontario for a Judicial Review of the Ontario government’s proposed plan to pave over prime farmland and bulldoze existing farm buildings located on the former Kemptville Agricultural College to build a provincial prison.
UPDATE
February 29, 2024: Kemptville residents, Kirk Albert and Victor Lachance, have filed notice of their intention to apply to the Ontario Court of Appeal to appeal the decision issued earlier this month by the Ontario Divisional Court dismissing their judicial review application filed in August 2022.
